The Mercer Street Veterinary Hospital Super Stars And Their Humans!

What a great group of humans and animals! We spent a rare rain-free day at the always beautiful Kubota Garden in Seattle.
I copied this from their website,
”Your pets mean the world to you. They mean the world to us, too. At Mercer Street Veterinary Hospital, we understand that pets are family. We’ll take care of the medical side of things so that you and your best friends can focus on the truly important stuff like long walks and even longer cuddle sessions.”

Meet The Team!

Dr. Piper Selmon and her pups, XXXXX and XXXX

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Selmon graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 after completing her clinical year of vet school at Colorado State University. She moved to Seattle soon after to start working in small animal general practice. She enjoys general practice because it allows her to help animals in her many different areas of interest, which include surgery, managing chronic endocrine disease, and dentistry. As an advocate for the pet, Dr. Selmon truly believes communication is key to forming a trusting relationship with families so that their pet receives the best quality care.

Dr. Catriona Love and Nola

Associate Veterinarian

Growing up in Connecticut, Dr. Love always had a strong interest in medicine and a love for animals—so becoming a veterinarian was a natural choice! She graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut, and went on to earn her DVM from the University of Florida, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class.

Dr. Ken Zebrowski

Associate Veterinarian

Originally from Detroit, MI, Dr. Zebrowksi grew up with lots of pets in the family. He had an affinity for both animals and medicine, so a career as a veterinarian was the perfect fit. Prior to attending vet school, he worked as a vet assistant and at the Michigan Humane Society. He earned his DVM with honors from Michigan State University in 1987.

Adrienne Dahlstrom

Hospital Director

Hospital Director Adrienne joined our practice in September of 2021 and comes to us with over 5 years in the veterinary industry. Before she started her career in animal care, Adrienne received her degree in Psychology from CWU! In her free time, she is often with her doggos Hermione, Laela, and Bentley.  Hermione loves to join her mama going shopping with Adrienne at Nordstrom and other dog-friendly stores in the neighborhood, while Laela & Bentley enjoy car rides and trips to the lake to play fetch and swim! Adrienne is an avid outdoors adventurer who thrives when she can hike, explore and travel.  When the winter weather becomes too much, she typically escapes the rain with visits to Palm Springs or Austin, TX, where she can soak up the sun.

Craig Strother

Veterinary Assistant

Craig has been working in the field of animal care since 2002 and joined the Mercer Street team in 2017. Over the course of his 17 years as a veterinary technician, he has had the privilege of working with a wide variety of patients, from beloved dogs and cats to penguins, rattlesnakes, and wallabies. Outside of work, Craig is an avid oil-painter, martial artist, outdoorsman and movie buff. He enjoys spending time at home with his wife, cat, guinea pigs, snake, lizard, and scorpions.

Briar Edwards

Veterinary Assistant

Briar started at Mercer Street in February of 2020 after taking a few years off to complete college; their passion for animal care made them want to return to veterinary medicine. Briar is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and moved to Seattle to see rain for the first time, and to pursue their education. Outside of work, Briar is a painter, illustrator, and tattoo collector. They can most commonly be found around town at local vegan restaurants, missing their former local green chile, and petting neighborhood cats.

Kella Wescott

Veterinary Assistant

Kella grew up competing in show jumping with horses and participating in the 4H club at school. When she was just 13, Kella began shadowing her family veterinarian as her interest in animal care blossomed. A current student at Penn Foster, she is working towards her Vet Tech license.
When she isn’t working at the clinic, you will likely find Kella at one of the local skate parks with her girls. She is an active member of the SkateLikeAGirl community and enjoys inspiring young women and non-binary people to skate. When she’s at home, Kella often hangs with her dogs (Kado, Kona, and Cheech) and her Cat (Momo).

Here are some of the furry, feathered, and scaley pets of the Mercer Street Veterinary Hospital staff!

Thank you to all of the Mercer Street Veterinary Hospital for such a great time!
